NCC Women’s Team Triumphs in Winter Indoor League

The Novas have emerged victorious in the Winter Indoor League!

They have showcased their exceptional skills and teamwork throughout the season., with their impressive performances culminating in a well-deserved championship title.

The Novas demonstrated their prowess by topping the near league with an unblemished record. They secured wins against formidable opponents, including Kingsley, Alvanley, Dave-Oak, and Appleton, establishing themselves as the team to beat.

In the semi-finals, the Novas faced Crewe, the second-placed team from the far league. In a closely contested match, the Novas emerged victorious with a score of 124-118, securing their spot in the final.

The other semi-final saw Aston, the top team from the far league, defeat Alvanley, setting the stage for an exciting championship match.

The final showdown between the Novas and Aston was a display of high-quality cricket. The Novas rose to the occasion, clinching the title with a convincing score of 156-121.

Rachael Thomas, the women’s team captain, expressed her pride in the team’s achievement:
“A testament to our hard work, team building, desire to constantly improve, and our sportsmanlike way of playing our games.”
